These maternal brothers to “Buckmaster” were purchased from Jimmy Miller in 2004.   We used these rams heavily in our breeding program for four years.

Double F 1423 has proven himself in our flock. His yearling ewes are simply awesome.  His mother has been one of the greatest ewes in our flock.  One of her ‘06 ewe lambs was Res Grand Champion Market Lamb at the KY State Fair.  A full brother to 1423 was sold as a yearling to Wattonville Club Lambs in Sedalia ‘06 and is now being used by the Jimmy Davis Family in OK.  “Island Warrior” adds tremendous length and extension to his offspring combined with massive bone and great muscle tone. Sold to Adams Hamshires & Kleinhert Hampshires in March 2010.

“Island Warrior”

(“Surpass” x “Ale8” daughter)

We would like to thank Poe Hamps for allowing us to lease “Crest”.  “Wake”, his sire is a “Ripple” son and his dam, Poe 924 is a twin sister to Poe 925.  Poe 925 was a stud ram used by the University of Kentucky in 1999 and 2000.

“Top Secret” was our keeper buck from the Spring of 2000.  He was sired by “73” and out of a Hancock ewe with a heavy influence of Miller breeding behind her.  Everyone that saw “Top Secret” as a lamb would say he was one of the prettiest profiling rams that they’ve seen.

When we selected "Propel" as our new stud ram in the Spring of 2002, we were looking for one thing and one thing only-MUSCLE.  We believe "Propel" added  sufficient muscle to our lambs without sacrificing anything else we have been striving for in our lambs.  We would like to thank Jim Miller and his family for all their help in selecting this promising new stud ram.  Propel sired the 2003 Ohio State Fair Grand Champion Market Lamb.

“Boost” was sired by “DNA” and is out of what we think was our best “Powerline” daughter.  “Boost” did not disappoint us, he sired sheep that were jacked up in the front with extremely good rib shape and more muscle than his father “DNA” did for us.

“DF 335” was our best RR “Boost” son.  His Dam DF980 is the grandmother of the 2003 Ohio State Fair champion.  DF 335 was used on a few brood ewes and some “Propel” daughters.

324 was sired by “Propel”  His dam DF 020 is a “Powerline” daughter.  Her 2002 buck lamb was sold to Kirby Payne of Missouri.  DF 324 was our most complete RR son.  We used him on about 20 brood ewes and some ewe lambs.

We consider “Powerline” to be the foundation sire of our flock.  This “801” son was a ram that we felt was ahead of his time.  He sired extremely well balanced, clean fronted sheep with plenty of frame and lots of style.  His daughters were exceptionally good mothers, so much so that in the early 90’s every ewe in our flock was sired by “Powerline”.

“73” was purchased privately and was the first lamb to be picked out of the Cabaniss flock in the spring of ‘97.  He was sired by “Four” out of a “Time” daughter.  This ram was a medium frame ram with a very level and wide hip and extremely sound on his feet and legs.  He sired smooth, well balanced lambs with elegance to burn with an abundance of Hamp characteristics.  A limited amount of his semen is available for sale.

We were fortunate to lease this Miller ram from Brian Forsee for one breeding season.  He was originally intended to be a terminal sire, but instead we kept several of his daughters in our flock which have been very productive for us.

“500” was purchased at Sedalia in ‘98 as a yearling.  He was a “Noon” son out of  an “801” daughter.  Due to his untimely death, we were only able to use him in our flock one year and have kept some of his daughters.  He sired wethers that were very competitive with a  hard handling touch and desirable hides.

“DNA” was our second ram purchased from Cabaniss at the farm.  He was sired by “171” be an extremely large framed sheep that added size and length to our flock.  “DNA” passed away in the Spring of 2003, however his genes will continue to greatly influence not only our flock, but others as well.  Several of his offspring were sold as stud rams.
